THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE ARE AS

FOLLOWS:

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients

  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives

  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines

  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.

  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople

Any of the following fields: University degree in International Business, Management, Finance, or other relevant fields with a

minimum of 3 years working experience in business development Field or Master's degree with 1 year of experience in business development field.

Communication's Specialist

Title: Communications Specialist

Full Time Job

Location: Kigali - Rwanda

​

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST ARE AS

FOLLOWS:

 

  • Develop an effective High Commission's communication strategy with a particular focus on digital communication strategy; which enhances WAC's image and adds value to the firm’s activities;

  • Manage and update the WAC's website and all digital platforms and create appropriate content to increase interactions and engagement;

  • Draft press releases and oversee the production of other creative materials as needed (research papers, articles and newsletters...):

  • Draft the company’s pitch:

  • Propose/draft oped/editorial responses when necessary:

  • Prepare communications briefs for the firm:

  • Answer/advise on questions about WAC from specific stakeholders and the public:

  • Proofread a variety of documents including speeches, press releases, web content, presentations, letters, and other materials written by senior staff;

  • Create and maintain relationships with media as well as ensure WAC's media contact is updated;

  • Arrange interviews and media coverage for WAC and relevant event/staff

  • Accompany senior officials and visiting senior officials on media engagements and providing briefing and support as required;

  • Handle all media enquiries;

  • Create and maintain relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations whose support is essential to the achievement of advocacy and communication objectives;

  • Develop and maintain a database of audio-visual content to use on different events and issues.

 

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

 

  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation for multi-media platforms:

  • Conversant with photography and internet aided-research;

  • Skills in graphic design (e.g.,Adobe Creative Suite) or video production is an added advantage;

  • Experience in communications or media related fields, and with a variety of Partners both national and international;

  • Comprehensive knowledge of WAC’s services; policies laws, regulations and procedures is a plus;

  • Ability to work independently and without close supervision;
